Sailor Mercury is the second Sailor Senshi who discovered by Usagi and Luna.After Sailor Moon,Ami-chan is the second of the Senshi to regain her memories.She is short blue hair and blue eyes,and she is wearing blue Sailor suit.Mizuno Ami is the quietest and smartest of the Sailor Senshi.She also a holder of the star seed of Planet Mercury and she is a princess of her planet Mercury.Sailor Mercury is the guardian who protects the royal family in the future.

In Mizuno Ami,she was the smartest,hard working and quietest of all inter Senshi.She has an IQ of 300 and good at technology skills,such as computer.most of the time she is deep in study.It was because Ami wants to be a doctor when she grow up,just likes her mother.So,she studies constantly to achieve her goal.She is good at chess and swim too!In chess,she is the Japan junior champion;In swim,Ami is good at it and she can swims like a fish.As you know,Ami-chan learned those lessons quiet well.So most of people are jealous about her,the reasons is Ami is very quietest and smartest.She know how to have fun when she became good friend with Usagi.In fact,she can get along with everyone and everyone loved her.Whenever,she is a good friend to talk with,Usagi-tachi always run to her and asks for her help in schoolwork.Ami-chan usually paired with Hino Rei.

As Sailor Mercury,She was a brain of the Sailor Senshi.Ami-chan uses her magic pan transform into Sailor Mercury.Her attacks and her powers are around ice and water,most of her attacks have to do defence,it's seems that her power is very weakness.But her brain power makes her play an important role of the Sailor Team.Her whole of fighting is through the medium of technology.She can use her Mini-computer and her visor to spot the weakness of an enemy.Mercury's snalyical skill makes her indispensable to the team.Those items was given by Luna,Sailor Mercury is one of the inter Senshi who carries those accessories item.This item is very useful as she met any battles.

Regarding Sailor Mercury's name Mizuno Ami,Mizuno means "water" in Japanese.Ami related to the French for"Friend",then,Ami-chan's name means "friend of water".The translation of her name fit her Sailor Senshi form,it was because most of Sailor Mercury's attacks involve water,snow,illusion...such as Shabon Spray(freezing),Shine Aqua illusion and one of her attacks is using her ice harp,it was "Mercury Aqua Rhapsody".Her ice-harp plays some nice music too!And her voice is done by Aya Hisakawa in the Anime.

In the Greek mythology,Mercury was the god Hermes.Hermes was the messager of the gods.Sailor mercury and the other three guardian,their fate and mission is protected Moon Princess(Usagi-chan)and the castle of Silver millennium.Sailor Mercury is also a princess of her planet Mercury,a part of Usagi-chan's court.She will became the royal family's guardian with the other Sailor Senshi in the future.
