Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon,equal to Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.Which is a Japanese animated series about a cry-baby,14 year old named Usagi Tsukino,who received some special power and transform items.Usagi-chan uses those power transform into Sailor Moon to fight evil.Her motto is,"For love and justice,I am the Sailor-suited pretty soldier,Sailor Moon!In the name of the moon,I"ll punish you!".She also a princess of the moon,herself represents the love and purity.Usagi joined with other Sailor Scouts as the SailorTeam to protect the earth and save the universe.

Sailor Moon is running in the monthly magazine called Nakayoshi(mean"good friend" in English).Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon first published in Nakayoshi in February of 1992 and ended in March of 1997.Which also published in comic book,it has 18 complete volume.Those are written by a woman named Naoko Takeuchi.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon also spawned the animated version which produced by Toei Animation,and it is shown the five series,each series has its own title,they are:

• Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R (Return or Romance)
• Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S (Super)

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon also shown in three movies,as we all know,each of the movies also have its own title,they are:

• Sailor Moon SuperS movie:The Fabulous 9 get together!Miracle in the Black Dream Hole!
• Sailor Moon SuperS special:Ami-chan's first love

Sailor Moon became most popular Anime in different countries.Some producer are created a lot of Sailor Moon merchandise,such as video games,PP cards,dolls,comic books and CDs' etc... Both of the Anime and Manga of Sailor Moon have been translated into many language!

Naoko-sensei also printed a series of Artbook which collective the colour picture drawn by herself(From Artbook volume I to Artbook volume V).After Sailor Moon ended,Naoko also published her own fan Manga called "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Picture Collection" and "Original Art Collection of Sailor Moon".Both of them are volume infinity.But,those are printed small number and published only in Japan!In"Original Art Collection of Sailor Moon" was mainly distributed of Naoko's friends.The new Artbook called The Sailor Moon Material Collection,it has a collection of sketches and profile of all characters used in creating the Manga.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon was preceded by "Code name wa Sailor V" comic,art by Minako Aino.Both of them are drawn by Naoko Takeuchi,she also written other comics,such as The Cherry Project,Miss Rain,Maria,Chocolate Christmas,PQ Angels and Rain Kiss.Naoko-sensei also written a lot of Sailor Moon song,take an example of her favourites:Route Venus and I am Sailor Moon!
